Day One…

These images are from my first day shooting a perth companies new staff images. Shot with the Canon 85mm 1.2 on a 5D MKII with a ProFoto Acute B and SB800.

Family Shots…

Here’s a few shots from a family shoot at Kings Park this weekend. Shot on the 5D MKII with the ProFoto Acute B and Canon 135mm F2 and 70-200mm 2.8 lenses.

130 Stirling…

These shots were taken of a newly opened building here in Perth. The main shot is a six image stitch with the Canon 24mm TS lens.

In a Hole…

Here’s a quick shot from my job today. Luckily the boys from CES in Perth had given me a loaner 15mm 2.8 Fisheye to try out that came in very handy…

Staff Shot Setup…

Below is a test shot from a very large shoot I have coming up. I have a couple of hundred people to shoot and have a corporate guideline to follow so here is a shot of my setup and one of the shots straight from the camera.

Staff Shots…

Here’s a few staff shots from another shoot this week.

Concrete…

The shots below were from a half day shoot at a concrete factory where they have automated the production of precast panels, it was amazing to see the process from start to finish.

More Corporate Shots…

These images below are a few examples from a two day shoot this week in Perth…

City Center…

These shots are from a new hotel, shopping and residential precinct in Las Vegas. The buildings are pretty amazing and everywhere you look there seems to be a great picture…

Personal Work…

This shot is similar to some of my other work from Western Australia’s South West. These are trees in the snow, there is no digital manipulation in these shots and all the effects are created “in camera”.

Red Rock…

Below is a shot from Red Rock, NV, this is a pretty unusual site as they don’t often get snow this low down in the sierras. This was an eight shot stitch with the Olympus E-P1.

Headshots…

Here are some random examples from a corporate shoot this week. We had to shoot the entire staff for intranet and identification use so only had about 3 minutes per person – was a busy day…

Perth Airport…

This is my first job of the new year and it was to photograph some infrastructure and roads around the Perth International airport. It needed to include a selection of day and night shots plus to show existing elements like the bike and pedestrian paths and access roads into the airport.

Last Post For 2009…

This is my final post of 2009 and was a couple of shots I took today while waiting for some bread to rise. I have been testing out my Olympus E-P1 Pen camera a bit over the last couple of weeks and am really happy with the results I have been getting from it. Anyway here’s wishing everyone a Happy New Year and a prosperous and healthy 2010…

Party at the Maj…

These shots were for a client party this evening at His Majesty’s here in Perth. About 300 guests in total and a good night with a 007 theme, casino tables and MC’d by James Lush from ABC radio.

HDR and Portraits…

Had some fun this week shooting some portraits and some HDR images of some trucks that were be sent up to Barrow Island for the Gorgon Project. After these shots were taken the vehicles had to be wrapped in plastic and quarantined before their trip North.

Summer is here…

Blue water, blue skies and white sand… These are part of a personal series called Beaches that are going to be sold as a canvas triptych. No photoshop except for levels and vibrance, may not be everyones cup of tea but I like them!

Sea Shepherd Launch Party…

Tonight I shot some images for Sea Shepherd at their launch party. They sail on Monday 7th December to continue the fight against the illegal whaling in the Southern Ocean. For more info on the Sea Shepherd and to see how their campaign is going or to make a donation click HERE. I wish the Captain, Paul Watson and his crew all the best during their 3 months campaign and hope maybe this will be the final year the Japanese continue to kill these amazing creatures…

Night Images…

Took these while on a job down in Dunsborough this week, thought they were a bit different from the normal South West landscape… Amazing how many more stars you can see on a clear night down there compared to Perth, and I thought Perth was amazing…
